Continued Contacting

Week #16 (1/04/21 - 1/08/21):

Since I do not have a mentor yet, I have created an intensive outreach plan so that I will be able to get one as soon as possible. I have already reached out to my past interviews and they have replied saying that they will connect me to others in my area of interest. I talked to Mr.Walters, the former ISM teacher at Centennial, and he has advised me to email and call professionals rather than sending a message on LinkedIn, because it may be more personal and professional. One of my peers, Suveda, said it is helpful to search up companies that are in need of sustainability professionals and email them about what I am looking for. Additionally, I have started looking for potential mentors on Fabfem.org, a mentoring connecting organization. My family and friends also have connections with architects and environmental engineers which I have scheduled days to speak with. I have decided to broaden my search to environmental engineers and architects in general so that I will have a larger range of people to speak to. My goal is to have a mentor in the next week or two so that I can be good to go with my product research and execution this semester! This picture represents my week because it is important for me to stay positive and persistent during this process.
