Week #5 (09/28/20 - 10/02/20)
During this week, I completed my original work proposal which accounted for most of the week’s activities. With my previous thoughts and reflections on LEED certification, which required only the bare minimum for a building to be considered green, I cultivated a plan and proposal to reform the certification process. In this proposal I included how I planned to make these reforms and what impact I hoped to make. I met with peers and teachers to get their feedback on my proposal. Additionally, I wanted to accentuate my experiences and skills more on my resume, such as my multilinguality, global organizations I am involved in, and my leadership in my areas of interest. With the feedback of my peers, I made necessary changes and additions to my resume, experimenting with fonts, colors, and spacing. By the end of the week, I created a much cleaner and more informative resume. I also set another interview with a professional that I am thrilled to meet and hear from! With all of this finalization going on, I started feeling a little more confident in my original work and the ideas I am continuing to think about. With this confidence, I hope to reach out to more professionals to potentially find a mentor. To conclude, my goals for this week are quite simple; continue reaching out to architects with a sustainability background, be prepared to gain valuable criticism and feedback from the business symposium, continue building my personal brand, and finally cultivate more useful interview questions for future interviews. Since this week was primarily aimed toward peer feedback and improvement, this image represents it quite well!
