Just Keep Going

Week #11 (11/09/20 - 11/13/20):

This week I added two more hours into my original work log by researching and understanding the way material selection affects the environment. I learned how sustainable materials must be environmentally friendly in terms of composition, derivation, and transportation, each of these factors being equally important. I believe I should also include this in my book or catalog of sustainable alternatives to provide more insight into the importance of material selection. In terms of my digital portfolio, I ensured to add the “What is ISM” section, update my short bio, update my resume slightly, and add an animated and personalized logo! These additions made my website more dynamic, creative, and engaging overall to interact with. I also started looking into a good book creation platform to input my research information. I already knew of Shutterfly, which is more for photo books, and I also looked intoBlurb. Additionally, I thought about typing it up on Google Docs and personally illustrating the cover and images. With mentor selection, I hope to schedule two more calls to explore a bit more before selecting! Next week, I hope to get two to three more hours logged for original work, add my architectural drawings on my website, meet with two more professionals, select a book creating option, and complete a draft of the introduction of my book!
