Week #7 (10/12/20 - 10/16/20):
As you can tell by the interesting "polynomial-like" title, reflection upon past events was held at priority. After the business symposium a week prior, I ensured to send thank you notes to each interviewee. I genuinely enjoyed the experience of the business symposium, especially my conversations with a fellow ISM student, Suveda, and FISD coordinator Ms.Dyer. With an interview assessment, I was able to reflect on my previous interview with Ms.Jaeschke—which I am greatly appreciative for because I had the opportunity to connect with Ms.Sharma as well. I spoke with Ms.Sharma on Tuesday and we connected instantly! I was ready with interesting questions to ask and learn about, and I even started coming up with more and more questions as we spoke. My meeting with Ms.Sharma was intriguing as well as informative, and I hope to continue to keep in touch with her and her work. In terms of my research assessment during this week, I decided to take a more in-depth approach to further solidify the ideas in my original work. By educating myself on sustainable use of plastic waste in buildings and construction, I was able to identify in what ways the said wastes can be used, its advantages, and its disadvantages. With this information, I can identify other sustainable construction materials that have alternative uses. As I have said in my previous blogs, I have been striving to create a unique and striking personal brand. This week, I had the chance to create a potential logo that represents my vision, and moreover, myself. Here it is! As you may have noticed, there was a lot of self-analyzing this week, which led me to take a personality quiz as well. This is the link if you would like to check it out! I took the same quiz about two to three years ago, so I wanted to see in what ways my results differed. I highly encourage this quiz because the results are thoroughly researched and tailored to your personality. My specific label was the “Protagonist” with the letter ENFJ-T. Next week, I hope to have a better plan on how to move forward with my original work, schedule at least two more interviews, and finalize my logo to start strengthening my personal brand.
