The Unexpected Learning Tool

Week #20 (2/01/21 - 2/05/21):

This week, I focused on figuring out a plan for my product. As of now, I have two options: an EnviroShed, a shed promoting responsible recycling of food scraps and E-Waste, or the LEED campaign at Centennial High School. Currently, I am leaning towards the LEED education and sustainable building practices campaign to promote the idea of sustainability in the school before creating major changes to the campus. I believe that constructing a change mindset at Centennial will help create an aura of transformation that can inspire and influence the school faculty to implement a physical change to the campus. I had the chance to reconnect with my previous interviewees, Mr.Brikley, of which he provided me with various contacts and resources to advance my project and research down the road; I am thrilled to get in touch with his references and learn more about my topic as I progress. As of now, my situation is uncertain because I am currently awaiting responses from professionals regarding ISM and my project, but meanwhile, to keep matter moving forward, I will continue contacting professionals, continue updating my plans for the project, and narrowing my research to remain relevant to my topic. What I learned in the past month has really stuck with me because I have come to realize that uncertainty should not stop me from making advancements in initiatives I believe passionately about. So, I have decided to take the experience of being in the unknown as a learning tool. Here is a picture to represent my week!
